Attending the Dolby masterclass gets you the most relevant and up to date insight in the world of Dolby from Mr Bhaskar Pal, the Senior Broadcast Content Engineer at Dolby. Mr Pal graduated from the Film and Television Institute of Pune, India, having specialised in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering. He joined Dolby in the year 2000 as a film sound consultant and as they say, the rest is history. He currently leads the content creation workflow in surround-sound (5.1) & immersive audio (Dolby Atmos), and works closely with broadcasters, television channels and independent content producers in India, South East Asian and Middle-eastern regions. With a good 20 years of experience as a Dolby engineer, and with experience in film-post, cinema and studio installation, acoustic design and broadcast mixing puts him in a good position to train audio engineers and technical teams in the broadcast industry. Prior to joining Dolby, Mr Pal worked as a recording engineer for films and television which further adds to his repertoire, making him adept with various capacities such as location sound engineer, audio-post supervisor, sound-designer, studio acoustic designer and system-design.
